I have been having recurrent stomach pain since December and after ultrasounds, xrays, CT scans and a trip to the ER, my doc sent me for an upper endoscopy.
I went today and the procedure was a piece of cake..really!!..they got my IV started on the first try and then I was "out of it" and dont remember having to swallow the tube or anything icky!!..woke up in the recovery room and was told it all looked good with the exception of some polyps, so either the ulcer healed or we have no answer as to what the pain is/was....so, good news/bad news!

I'm glad to hear that it really wasn't that bad, Lesa. I wondered how someone could swallow the scope like that. I didn't realize the medication made you that out of it (good thing!). I'm glad to hear there are no major problems, but I also feel your frustration when they can't pinpoint what is wrong.
Glad to hear the test wasn't "too" bad. I hope they figure out what is going on so you can get better.
